Season reset

Every three months, on the 1st, the beta world resets. Every character drops back to level 1 and starts over: inventory, equipment, spells, skills, stats, gold, clan, home and bank are all cleared. Leaderboards, clans and homes are wiped too, so the whole world starts fresh.
Your login never changes. Your name, password and email stay exactly as they are. Just log back in with your usual password.
The first time you log in after a reset, you pick your class and roll your stats again, then you are back in the world.
You get plenty of warning in-game: an announcement an hour before, then every 15 minutes, then every minute in the final countdown. The time and uptime commands always show how long until the next reset.
Staff characters are not reset.

First season reset: August 2026, then every three months after. Think of each season as a fresh ladder. With the permanent 25× bonuses, a determined player can climb a long way in a single season.

Arena dueling fix

Accepting a duel with challenge accept when the other player was no longer in the arena could crash the whole game. That is fixed, so dueling is safe again.

Stealing is back

The steal command is enabled again. Thieves and assassins can once more lift items from monsters (and, where the rules allow, from other players).
It had been switched off because of a crash bug: stealing from a monster could take the whole game down. That has been fixed, so steal away.

Better help

The help command is much smarter about finding what you meant. It now matches on how a word is spelled, so typos and near-misses land on the right page (for example help bakstab finds backstab), and when it is not sure it lists suggestions instead of opening something unrelated.
Many missing help files were written, covering spells, class abilities, skills and commands that had no help before. Type help all for the full list, or help <topic> to read any one.

Walk exits by name

You can now walk through a named room exit just by typing its name. When a room lists an exit like gate, portal or mist, just type gate instead of go gate.
This only happens when the word is not already a command, so nothing you type today changes meaning. Real commands always take priority, and a word that is neither a command nor an exit still tells you it does not exist.

No approval needed

Player approval is off on the beta. Every character is approved automatically, so there is no unapproved level cap and no per-session time limit. Just log in and play.

Inactive character cleanup

Cleared out inactive characters to make room on the beta: every level 1 character, and any character with under 2 hours of total playtime, has been removed.
Established characters (level 2+ with 2 or more hours played) and all staff were kept.
Roughly 1,600 dormant characters were removed; about 900 remain.

Housekeeping like this keeps the beta’s world list tidy. If a character of yours was swept and you think it shouldn’t have been, let a staff member know.

The beta world runs a continuous 25× experience and 25× gold bonus, always on with no timer.
